Your wedding day is a celebration of your love, life, hope and commitment as a couple. It is a major rite of passage and an occasion that can be personalised, creative and memorable.

As an independent celebrant, my role is to assist you in planning the wedding that encapsulates your wishes. I work to set the tone of the ceremony and support you throughout the planning process and collaborate in helping to ease the process of decision making of what may, at times, be an overwhelming experience.

At present a wedding celebrant in the UK is unable to legally marry you. However this works much like when officiating a baby naming ceremony by conducting a birth registration prior to the ceremony. We can organise this in a way not to detract from the ceremony.

Only the declaratory and celebratory words are required to be said at the registry office. 

Additionally, you must officially indentify yourselves to the registrar and sign the marriage/civil partnership registry, with the presence of two independent witnesses and the registrar.

For couples entering a Civil Partnership, the phrasing will have minor differences.

For all other aspects of the ceremony you have the freedom to choose from a vast array of possibilities.
